Ad·dict - to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively. That pretty much sums it up. Hostas are addictive. What started as a simple purchase to provide ground cover quickly turned into catalog orders, trips to hosta growers and massive purchases from tissue culture wholesalers. To me the first delight of spring is not the daffodils or azaleas blooming. The dogwoods still exert their power but the biggest joy of spring is to be found when I can start counting eyes on my hostas. I have seven hosta beds to occupy my time & rob my wallet. Dede has a large front hosta bed and her entire back yard is devoted to hosta & hydrangea beds. Hilda & Royce have had superior luck growing mammoth hostas in full sun. Sometime in the future we will be posting links when the site is finished and we are ready to begin our hosta sales from our joint venture - Hosta Hideaway. We really have no planned date that we anticipate selling some of our plants ... after this long, it is going to be tough to part with them. In the meantime, enjoy these images from our hosta gardens. and please feel free to ask any questions you may have about our ... um yeah um ... hobby. Thats it ... it's a hobby. It is not an obsession. I do NOT have to have the new introductions this year. I can wait for the price to drop. Quit laughing, really I can. It's a hobby remember? It's only a little harmless hosta hobby.
